Oversensitive to Semantics?

I wanted to apologise for the wrong tone of my messages and using the words "terrorism" and "warfare" in some of my posts: these entries were posted well before last Thursday's tragic events in London. In any event, its easy to steer away from using words like these and I will do so. I don't really want to terrorise Land Rover - I just want them to listen to me - and the other many frustrated customers. They are listening now - sorry to anyone I upset... I promise I won't do it again!

I'm 8,500 miles into my Disco 3 and it's perfect. Trouble with your type of blog is that you become obsessive and the real reason you started the blog becomes eventually obscure. You want to rub their noses in it. Admit you've won and move on!

Brian, I agree it CAN become obsessive and probably is (ask my wife!) - but I originally thought that my experience could have been the isolated exception but it would appear that I have now had precisely the same experience with two Discoveries and others writing to me with the same list of defects - it would appear that you are the isolated case - the lucky Wednesday car - 'cause Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday cars don't work properly!

Do you not think that if you had one of the lemons, you may find this platform useful - especially if Land Rover wasn't listening.

Should I be selfish and halt this campaign now that I am no longer a Land Rover owner? - or shall I help the other frustrated customers.

I don't feel as if I have won - I am sad because there is no other car on the market as wonderful as the Disco 3 - so am sad to leave it but can't trust it - its let me down too often. - Would you?

I have had 3 new Land Rovers and have had many problems, but once sorted out vehicles OK except for Defender 130. Have had numerous faults fixed but the one that bothers me most is the amount of axles over 45,000 k's is on the rediculous. The problems are fretting of splines and flanges. Land Rover dealer has welded axles to flanges to stop problem. So far so good but as far as i am concrned it is a bush fix.

& can only say we have experienced a good reliable car with no problems, l do feel for yo & your frustration as our range rover spent more time in the garage & after a year we swapped to the new disco.
