Left my car at the dealer today....

I spent some time with Matt at Stratstone (my Land Rover dealer) - he really took the time to listen to the faults and my experience... I must applaud the whole experience - he explained how the electronics system worked and after the time I spent with him I felt like a valued customer and understand so much more about the car. I drove out in a loan Discovery and really believe that Stratstone will get to the bottom of this. Thanks guys.

On the other hand......Its now close to the end of Tuesday and we haven't seen a formal response from Land Rover yet: I am preparing a list of questions for them which will be posted on the blog tomorrow - I invite them to reply to these in public... Land Rover customers: if you want to add any questions about the poor customer care or the any aspect of the relationship you have had with Land Rover please click here.

I WANT TO HEAR FROM ANYONE WHO HAS EXPERIENCED ELECTRIAL MELTDOWN OR WIRING FAULTS ON THE LANDROVER DISCOVERY V6.

I WISH TO HEAR FROM ANYONE THAT HAS EXPERIENCED ELECTRICAL OR WIRING MELTDOWN IN THEIR DISCOVERY V6.

In the cause of balance I am delighted to say that my Disco 3 has just reached its first birthday. It is without doubt the best vehicle I have ever owned and has been nothing but perfect.I continually meet other owners who are also delighted! I have no connection with Land Rover or their dealers, just a very pleased owner.

I own an '05 LR3 (Disco3 branding in the US)and had it towed into the dealer yesterday after what appeared to be a complete electrical meltdown. Transmission, engine, airbag, air lift ride height, power steering all indicated failure.

Throwing in the towel...Discovery 3 with 105,000 miles just blew the head gasket (after replacing the timing cover gasket a year ago). Additional services problems too many to mention here. I hate, hate, hate this car and will tell anyone who will listen what a terrible product it is.

I hate Land Rover and I am getting rid of mine and will NEVER tell people to buy one. They are the worst company on the planet - they lie - they charge way too much and I HATE them.

The worst car ownership experience!!! Owning a land rover is literally a nightmare. So much engine/electrical problems for a car with less than 50k!!! They should change thier names to Leak Rovers.

leaks, leaks and leaks...thats all i can say...would not recommend anyone to buy a land rover..i think i have had my costly share...i have had my landrover for 3 and a half years now...during this period i have had too many costly repairs...just replaced my head gasket 2 days ago..replaced pinion seal..master cylinder, water pump,tc light, abc light are on......the Landrover company needs to do something to improve this image

I had a landrover for some time in last year but had to dump it becauee of it high fuel consumption.

discos are piles of shit, all land rovers are piles of shit, im a technician at a land rover shop and i can tell you that ive never worked on a worst car in my life.

My 2003 Discovery is the worst vehicle I have ever owned. There is never a moment when something is not in need of costly repair. My car has 102K miles currently. In the last 50K miles I have spent over $6K in repairs, not including maintenance, and it still is in need of another $4K in reapirs. I'm considering a lawsuit against Landrover. Has anyone been successful in doing so. I would love to hear from you.
