nice one!!

i test drove a TDV6 HSE and the electronic hand brake warning light was on throughout.

i still ordered one and i'm looking forward to all the electronics failing :)

I am very familiar with the Land Rover Consumer Affairs department. I worked there until May of 2005. I urge anyone who has any problems with any of their products to please contact me. Thomas, this is useful, at the time of writing I do feel that Land Rover has changed the way they origingally opted to deal with angry customers who were using this site to rally support. I will drop you an email none the less.

I have heard a rumor that Ford is going to sell Landrover to a chinese company... Any truth in this?

I have a 03 disco 3 se7 and it sucks. I leased it brand new in 03 and have had nothing but problems. First count them 5 broken window gear arms, 4 sets of rotors all around, 7 visits to land rover mission viejo for that f*****g Down hill decent/ABS/Check engine light,"buy the way it's been on now for over a year", a leaky roof,cracked front bumber and now blown transmission gaskets and head gaskets.The best part of all this is that the truck only has 55k miles on it and the warrenty has expired. I will do everthing I can to stop people from buying any Land Rover/Ford products.

LAND ROVER SUCKS.....

I have a 2003 LR Discovery II and I have had minimal problems with my Disco. One thing that some people are not keeping in mind is

1) Stop going to the dealership they are a ripoff. If you like being bent over then fine but find a local shop and let them work on it if your LR is not under warranty

2) This is a European SUV. This is not a Toyota or a Honda or a Ford. This is a European SUV which means you are going to pay alot more for service and repair. When you bought the vehicle you should have made yourself aware how parts cost. I have spent alot of money fixing mine. (Minor things) but I did my research to decide whether I could afford the upkeep.

3) The issue that alot of people are experiencing with hill descent and ABS and brake light might be a faulty ABS Sensor. I talked to a LR affiliate and they explained to me alot of time when the lights go on and you turn off your LR it resets and the code is gone for the warning. It has happened to me once but has happened again but when it does I will have to spend the 1000+ to fix the issue and keep on trucking. Money is money and before buying a Luxury European SUV should have thought about it first.

great insight!. I was seriously thinking about getting one for Dubai (my next job).
i don't think, i should be waisting my time with LR problems. too sad. LR lost me. think, they should know that people looking into such cars, willing to spend serious money are to be taken seriously, in all matters and unconditionally. i'm afraid, it's going to be the Land Cruiser. ciao

Ok, guys, I'm not an expert on all the mechanicals for the 2002 LR Discovery but I need some advice. Two weeks ago, me and my two kids (ages 10 and 13) were in a wreck in our LR. We are all ok, thank you, but.....my air bags did not DEPLOY. It was not a side collision but not a head on either. I was going faster than 30 mph, and I hit the guy who raced out in front of me, on my passenger side, busting the headlight out, making the hood emplode against the windshield. Has there been any other problems with air bags in the 2002 LR??? The body shop says there is more than $9,000 worth of damage and if you look at the pictures...you begin to wonder HOW THE HELL COULD THEY HAVE NOT DEPLOYED?? That is why I bought a LR!!! I have filed an investigation and need some back up before I start dealing with the Owner Care department......I can't believe with that much damage, MY AIR BAGS did not deploy. Thank goodness my 13 year old was aware enough and could brace himself......thanks for the input: loralie2@hotmail.com
